Quick Shots: Models and Stars and Cocaine!!!!!

Here's a few quick stories I thought were interesting:

All I said was I wanted "Coke". It's the drive-thru's fault.

Police in Athens, AL pulled over a Mustang suspected of carrying drugs. The driver claimes he didn't have anything illegal, and allowed police to search his car. They found a dinner plate from a local restaurant with chicken, rice and a baked potato wrapped in foil. The potato was filled with 5 ounces of cocaine.

WOW dude. That's the best hiding place you had? What was your plan, pass it off as sour cream? I can almost imagine some country dude thinking to himself: "I'll put it with the chicken. They'll NEVER search the chicken!"

The Avengers movie gets an overhaul

The Hollywood version of Captain America and the Avengers just got a boost. With Zak Penn and Jon Favereau busy making the next installments of The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man, neither will be called upon to direct The Avengers. Instead, the writing and directing duties will go to Joss Whedon. Whedon is VERY well known in the Sci-Fi community for works such as Firefly, Serenity and Dollhouse. His new job is to find a way for Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Edward Norton (The Hulk) to co-exist. Early word is Norton is still upset at the final cut of The Incredible Hulk and is reluctant to commit to The Avengers (though there is a rumour that he makes an appearance in Iron man 2). Whatever the case, Norton is arguably the most successful actor of the bunch; they need to lock him down. FIX IT, WHEDON!

You cost less than a footlong sub at Subway

A new study conducted by a company called Virtue breaks down how much each Facebook subscriber is worth in marketing money. The result: Every Facebook user that becomes a fan of something is worth exactly $3.60 to advertisers. That means that when an advertiser puts an ad on a fanpage, they pay Facebook $3.60 a year for every fan that page has. Might not seem like much, but take 2 pages that I'm currently a fan of. SneakerNews.com has about 10, 500. Multiply that by $3.60, and thats $37,800 that Facebook makes every year off of that page. Now take Alicia Keys. She has about 2.3 million fans. Multiply THAT by $3.60 and you get $9,000,000! Facebook is making a killing off of you. It's a total advertising goldmine. That being said, I need someone to create the OFFICIAL Something Clever facebook page!
